Miramar

We went to Miramar for one week.
The bus trip to go took 5 hours.
We stayed in a apartment facing the beach.
It was beautiful view of the sea.
I had a great time in Miramar.
The thing that I will remember the most about Miramar is the sea.

This is the beach at Miramar.

Ollie and I playing on the beach.

This is the shop that sells chocolates and alfajores.
This is a hot chocolate drink called ¨submarine¨.

Dia de la Tradicion

On the weekend of the 8Th and 9Th November we went by micro (bus) to San Antonio de Areco where they celebrate El Dia de la Tradicion.

We stayed in a house that had 2 bedrooms, dining room, sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. It also had a veranda that went around the whole house and a garden out the back. There were toys and bicycles for us to use.

After lunch we went to a park over the old bridge where the gauchos were riding their horses, taming wild horses and lots of other competitions on horseback. One time a horse came bolting to the fence and everyone got up and ran away.

The girls were dressed in pretty dresses and the boys were dressed in pants and a t-shirt with a leather belt with coins and a knife.

The next day in the Plaza we saw a parade with the people on horses that had come from long distances. Me and Oliver had a lollipop which was the shape of a cone.

The weekend went very quickly and then it was time to go back home.

What I'll remember most about San Antonio de Areco is the lollipop!

La Falda, Cordoba

We went to La Falda for 5 days.
We caught a bus at 9pm and arrived at 8am, the seats went right back and we slept most of the way.
We stayed in a lovely hotel with a pool called Residencial Old Garden.
Oliver and Lucia shared one bedroom and my mum and I slept in a bedroom with a connecting door.

Last time we went to La Falda it was during the summer holidays so there were lots of people everywhere. This time there were just the people that lived there.

We went to Neverland everyday and collected coupons to pick prizes on the last day.
For Halloween Lucia bought me a witches hat and broomstick so we could get extra fichas (tokens).

When we were there we went on a tour of this very old hotel called Hotel Eden and it was so big.
You could get every meal there, from their own vegetable patch and their own animal farm with chickens and cows. It was the first building in La Falda but it is a museum now.
